DBR Consulting, LLC is a software engineering firm founded by David Rein in 1980. He has over 30 years of experience designing real time, multitasking systems. As a consultant, he has provided software design and senior programming services to engineering companies in the areas of data acquisition, instrument and engine control, communications and machine vision. Project responsibilities include: design of application frameworks, development of device drivers, and integration of network and communications into applications. As a lead software engineer, he supports development teams by guiding the design of subsystems and overseeing system integration. Two of his strongest support areas are, working with hardware engineers to balance the hardware/software design, and analyzing and debugging the integrated system.

DBR Consulting, LLC provides expertise in Windows, Linux and embedded environments using Intel X86, Motorola M68K/Coldfire, PowerPC and DSP568xx processors and other micro controllers. Protocols include TCP/IP, CAN, CANOpen, J1939, J1850, SDLC/HDLC, RS-485 and proprietary.
